I’ve owned a Bosch and Miele German made dishwasher but nothing compares to the VZUG. I have owned a VZUG combo-steam oven and Vacuum Seal drawer for the last 5 years and since my current kitchen renovation, I knew I wanted a VZUG dishwasher. I knew I was going to bite the bullet and buy one some day. This was it. The delivery went smoothly. Appliances Online delivered it accordingly on the 8th of September. It was finally installed by the plumber and builder over a month later. Now that I have used it for the last two weeks (yes it is still early stages), I absolutely love it! It is super quiet. As in, really really whisper quiet. It tells me what stage of the wash cycle it’s at, so I at least know if it’s almost done. That is purely due to it’s quietness. It has lights inside, which is super helpful in trying to navigate through the awesome compartments. I love the sliding cutlery tray and the ability to place the mid basket at two heights, including a diagonal. I love the adjustability of every basket and tray. I also love the small teaspoon basket in the mid basket as a convenient location. I don’t have to slide the cutlery tray out in order to throw in a teaspoon. This is something I wish Miele had thought of. I also love the drying capabilities of this machine. The automatic open door function is exceptional for plastic wares and reduces the water pooling on the base of each mug. The best thing about this is the automatic wash program. It is set at around 1hour and 45 minutes, but doesn’t always take this long. I could be longer, but it has been shorter. This is probably because, being an Asian household, we eat everything from our plates and it goes in pretty clean. I love the bottom basket and how the wire racking can fold down with a flick of a trigger release on the sides of the basket. I also love the fine filter. It doesn’t smell in this dishwasher as much as the Bosch did. If you are considering purchasing a high end dishwasher, and have the money to splurge, I highly recommend the VZUG. If you’re on battery or solar electricity, you will highly benefit from it’s energy saving programs. It even tells you how much electricity it consumed at the end of each cycle, which is exceptional. I have solar and batteries at home, so it is important for me to know that it has consumed 0.9kwh on an automatic wash cycle. Also, those that may be on rainwater mains, this is the dishwasher for you. It uses a minimum of 5.5ltrs for a wash, due to the turbidity sensor and residual water tank. However, if your dishes are super dirty, it can take up to 15ltrs max on a full place setting load. Which is still pretty economical. Think of a bucket and a half of water. Overall, this is the best dishwasher on the market and I couldn’t be happier with the decision to bite the Bullet!
