Poor design
Works the materials used cannot handle normal cleaning materials. I purchased it because its made of stainkess steel but the writing printed on the top comes off using normal dishwasher liquid. Makes it totally impractical
SMEG Gas Hob
I purchased a 90cm gas hob 12 months ago and love it. Much better than the previous one. When my daughters OLD one started leaking, there was no discussion. A Smeg it is. So now have purchased a 60cm version for my daughter. Fits in the small space and works much better than the 20yo previous unit
Fantastic quality
I was looking for a gas cooktop which is not only functional and comfortable to cook on but also good looking and modern. Well, I am happy have chosen the Smeg. Unusual diamond layout looks great but also adds to ergodic and functionality. The actual cooking tray is recessed into benchtop and it ensures that all spills stay within the tray, not on a benchtop or a splashback. Very easy to clean. The gas volume regulation is finely tuned so you can cook on the very powerful gas stream or get down to gentle simmer.
Overall 5 stars. Totally worth the price. I purchased it together with a Smeg canopy rangehood and could not be happier with both.
