Each of the four cooking zones offer nine heat settings, and one boost setting, which enable you to bring the various elements of your meal together with absolute temperature precision and control. For economical power use, the Pan Detection System ensures that only the base area of the pan is activated by the electromagnetic field. The Residual Heat Indicators make sure that you’re aware if part of the cooktop surface is still hot, and will automatically switch off once a safe temperature has been reached, enabling safe, easy cleaning.

Works and suits our kitchen perfectly
Swapped out our SMEG gas cooktop for an induction; only because of the Victorian State Government decision to regulate against gas appliances in all new homes from 2024. But so glad we opted for the SMEG induction. Fitted the cutout perfectly and looks very stylish. So easy to use and very quick to cook. The only niggle is the very slight sizzling noise that the burner makes for about 30 seconds when switched on. Couldn't see where this was mentioned in the operating manual. The SMEG tech support were very helpful. We love this appliance. And as a bonus, I bought a new induction cookware set. Yay.
Perfect for our kitchen
We have switched over from gas to induction. So pleased we did. The new unit is streamlined and fitted into the original SMEG cutout perfectly. Looks great and performs perfectly.
