The worst iron I have ever used
I have owned this iron for 10 months and am really unhappy with it for many reasons. Firstly even after carefully following the instructions for its care, the sole plate has become permanently disfigured. The corrosion build up and permanent "tar" stuck to the surface of the iron has now rendered it useless. Despite using demineralised water and emptying the water chamber after use, this tar just seems to keep building and is completely immovable! Also, the cord has become permanently kinked and twisted and unable to be "untangled" making the "reach" of the iron non existent; I have to stand next to the power point to use it! Our iron gets very little use, given that we are a small household and my husband has his business shirts done through work; it is mainly used for school uniforms and table linen. Even this seems too much effort for this iron! I have now given up completely and this iron is going in the garbage this afternoon. So disappointed as I had read some really great reviews and felt I had done appropriate research.
