Best paired with the Magic remote
I had bad experiences with the longevity of Samsung TVs, so I decided to opt for an LG. The smart functions of this TV is great; but works MUCH MUCH better with the motion activated remote (search Appliances Online for "LG Magic remote"). I connected the TV up to a powered antenna, and the quality is quite good. Admittedly not as good as a Samsung, but good enough. The screen is a tad bit too reflective, and it's not extremely bright. However, the viewing angles (from the side) seem much better than a Samsung at this price range. The australian FreeView Plus integration works well enough, and there are native apps built in for ABC iView (free). Interestingly, it seems to support the option of I think actually recording free-to-air (not foxtel/cable/HDMI) channels to a hard drive (though it's encrypted and cannot be viewed on any other TV or PC), and even supports recording a show mentioned on the TV guide, but I haven't tested this extensively. When you turn on the TV, it displays the free-to-air channels immediately, but takes a few seconds before it would let you use any other functions; which is better than other smart TVs that actually take time to just display basic channels when turned on. Unfortunately, the speakers don't turn off automatically when I plug in a headphone; you need to manually change the audio output via the settings.
But overall, I really like this TV, and if paired with the Magic Remote, would really recommend it.
For techies: it supports DLNA fairly well (via SmartShare), and though the product info doesn't mention it, 1080p HEVC/H.265 videos work great and smooth. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wifi APs, and has an ethernet port at the back. The HDMI supports ARC and rasperry pi's HDMI-CEC (you need to manually enable "SimpliLink" in the settings first). It does _not_ support any official Plex or Emby client as of writing without third party paid apps that I haven't tried; though Plex/Emby can still work via DLNA. The game mode is a necessity to reduce gaming input lag and will still allow you to change the color settings.

Ive had the TV for a couple of months now, works perfectly. Theres nothing I would change about it
