I have just bought my third one of these, the previous two having each lasted about three years of regular use before dying or falling apart. I use it regularly, both to toast my lunch wraps and also to cook steak, chicken (pounded to a consistent thickness), bacon and vegetables (there's only me to cook for). There are only two things I don't like about them - all the labelling information wears off very quickly so you have to judge the depth setting by feel and when you open the lid it drips grease etc over the coil at the back, which is then difficult to clean, and bench (I'm attempting to prevent that this time by covering with cling wrap or foil)

For many years I have been using the Breville range of sandwich toaster, they are an excellence in sandwich toasting

We bought this about 16 months ago, we used it a bit but not a lot and it was carefully and well cared for, but for some unknown reason it suddenly stopped working. One would expect an appliance like this to last for more than 16 months!
