If you’re looking to improve your sleep quality and reduce allergy symptoms, air purifiers do seem to help, but I’d look into getting another brand.
I bought the non-connect version of the Breville Easy Air first. It mysteriously stopped working after about three months. I even bought another filter for it to see if that was the issue - nope. I ended up replacing the purifier with the Connect model. Straight away there were issues. It’s always turning itself off, or switching itself to some sort of mode where it’s on but no longer doing anything. This is annoying for a number of reasons. Firstly, I want to keep the purifier running all day, but half the time I leave the room and come back to it having turned off by itself. Secondly, I keep it on high when I sleep. When it switches itself off in the middle of the night, the sudden change in ambient noise wakes me up. So the thing is waking me up to two to three times every night. I don’t have the app and I don’t use the wifi with it, so I have no idea why it’s so erratic.
The machine is also VERY loud, and I just had to replace the filter after only five months use. Seemed a little too soon - should have been at least six.
On the plus side, I used to wake up with a stuffy nose every morning, and now that problem has gone. My hayfever symptoms have also reduced dramatically.
