The Perfect Press™ sandwich press from Breville uses an innovative Crush Control hinge to adjust the position of the press. This ensures there is just enough weight to achieve a crisp outside, but to avoid crushing the inside. Alternatively, use the full weight of the plate for a firm press. You can also keep it just above the height of your open sandwiches to give them a delicious melt or browning.
The cooking plates are designed with wide curves so there are no places for crumbs to hide, plus the non-stick coating makes for easy cleaning. The countertop conscious unit offers spacious cooking within a compact footprint, and it can be stood upright for simple storage.

Perfect in every way
This is an excellent product. Not only is the build solid and confidence inspiring, the resulting toasties are perfectly and evenly cooked
Makes excellent tasty, toasty toasties but...
Too hot to handle, too unstable for the table!
It doe's a really great job of making those toasted sandwiches. All nicely browned.
We haven't tried the 'open melt' yet but I'm sure, its sure to delight!
Having already got a sculpted sealed sandwich press and a pie maker, both are nightmares to clean,
But the Perfect Press is one dream to clean. Just two flat plates.
The bad news I'm afraid...
●The "fold and stand" is quite unstable .
Twice (so far?) the FOLDED toaster has fallen over, off the kitchen bench onto the tiled floor.
The last drop has created a dint in the steel top.
●A bit of pain folding the mains wire back into the under casing (a good grease trap!). But one has to put the Cable back in order for toaster to (wobbly) stand upright
●It all gets a bit hot.
The bulbous stainless steel lid can/could be insulated a bit more.
Lives up to name of appliance.
Makes excellent toasted sandwiches
