Paid replacement
This unit is working as expected. It was a paid replacement for the same unit that went slightly out of warranty before failing. I am hoping that it is better than the last as it should be a premium product for the price paid. Most of my appliances are Breville, at this time
Sorry Breville, this one is a fail.
This toaster is ok for giant bread slices, for normal store bought bread, guaranteed you will burn your fingers getting toast out, Crumpets, Muffins need a pair of chopsticks or wooden tongs to retrieve.
Look I love Breville, have several products I cannot endorse highly enough, but this one, to me is a fail.
If only Breville had made the lift another 1inch would have saved a lot of grief and frustration.
