OMG. When I followed the instructions....
Hi all. Until today I had exactly the same issues. My sandwich was soft, it spilled, ripped. The other day I wondered if it was me and I checked out the manual on this Breville site. (https://www.breville.com/content/dam/breville/nz/en/assets/miscellaneous/instruction-manual/snack-makers/BTS425-instruction-manual.pdf). All the manual is helpful and 8-10 give tips when cooking.
Today I followed the instructions and my experience was so different. Sealed, crisp toasted sandwiches like the 70s. I give 4.5 if I could. They took 8 minutes instead of 6 and I did still need a knife.
