Disappointed - death by kettle it shall be.
We are on our second 1lt Maestro, sadly the first one started steaming from the switch below the handle, then the steam started coming from between the base and the kettle to the point water was dripping off the handle. The second kettle has started steaming from the switch under the handle. Steam/water/electricity/steel…….an entertaining conclusion to your morning coffee.
Beaut little kettle!
I have a small kitchen, so I was looking for a little kettle. One that was robust and long lasting, which meant I wanted to avoid clever doodads like temperature settings or those glass chambers. This little fellow is a solid metal kettle with few moving parts. Boils fast too, I'm quite pleased.
Sunbeam Maestro Kettle
This kettle is exactly as advertised and is exactly what I wanted. I did put 'build quality' as excellent because it feels so solid and acts so reliably but I'm not an engineer. There aren't many kettles on the market under 1.7L capacity and that's one of the features that drew me to this one so I can boil the amount of water I need for one cup of tea or more if I have guests. I recommend this kettle.
