Model: Sony Bravia XR-77A80K
I purchased this TV in December 2022, and since early 2024, it has horizontal bars across the whole screen that significantly affect viewing. For a OLED television of this size and price, this is extremely disappointing.
I expected better durability from a flagship model. When I contacted Sony, their only solution was to repeat the steps described online and once done, for me to bring it in for servicing — which is completely unreasonable given the size and weight of a 77” TV. This is beyond frustrating.
Sony’s customer service was useless, and I felt left on my own to deal with a manufacturing issue. A tv with this price tag should come with premium support — especially for something clearly defective like this.
I will not be buying another Sony product again.
