It’s great when it works. Often I’ll press the desired temp, walk away and come back to nothing. Sometimes when you press the button it just turns itself off. I’ve made sure there is no water on the conection ect but happens every few days. I’ve had the kettle cut 18 mths and it’s been doing it since 6. I’m just riding it out until it dies completely

I purchased this kettle a couple of years ago as the existing kettle was on its last legs but did not use it straight away. The time eventually came, and I commenced using it. Like other reviewers have commented the paint (written numbers) started to rub off. The main disappointing thing is that it has a tendency to let out an audible sound and switch off about 5 seconds after starting the process (as other reviewers have indicated). Just then it took 4 attempts to boil the kettle. I could accept it if the water in the kettle was moving and "rocking" the connection but thats not the case. Time to get a new kettle and it definitely won't be this brand.

Will turn off mid cycle now for now apparent reason, 90 buck kettle should just work. All the heat markers on the base came off within two weeks of owning
