Great amount of space in the fridge and LG's in-door icemaker means you don't loose any room from the main shelf space. The door shelves are huge and you can store loads in there and very large bottles and cartons which I liked. The 'crisper' drawers worked really well but having 3 was a design mistake in my opinion because the two larger ones are not large enough and the small one is too small to be useful. The bottom flat drawer which is full width and low is fantastic for just about anything you might want to use if for, deli meats, dairy whatever. The Freezer is a standard french door type of pull out drawer, nothing much to say its as good as any I've seen or used. The ice and water dispenser is magic. Without a doubt the most sophisticated and well designed unit I've used. Crushed ice actually comes out crushed nicely and doesn't spray everywhere. Cubes come out as nice cubes and also don't end up all over the place. The water is stored in a small tank so you don't really get much 'cold' water, at least nowhere near enough for a family of 4 in summer but I don't think that is any different to any other models or brands, its just a design problem with trying to dispense cold water from a small tank instead of cooling it on the go. I've had a few fridges with ice and water dispensers and the placement of the opening and the angle the water and ice come out at is brilliant. Much better than most I've used. The ice reserve bucket was large enough and ice is produced fast enough that our family of 4 never ran out even on those long runs of super hot days. As for the noise level, well, Australia has a problem in this area. First of all, despite what everyone says, there ARE standards for reporting noise levels and in europe every single fridge has that information clearly labelled. Secondly, this line we are given here in OZ about modern fridges being noisier is complete nonsense and is just an excuse for using cheap materials. I spent 3 years in Europe betwen 2012 and 2015 and I never noticed anyone's fridge. I replaced an old fridge with a brand new one in 2013 and it was so quiet I could barely tell it was on unless I put my ear to it. The fridges there are very quiet because they make them with decent materials. Both the compressor and body materials are good quality not plastic rubbish like the ones we get here are. And they are much cheaper than in OZ. How does that work? This particular fridge sounds a little like a jet engine. It goes on for about 15 minutes and then off for about 15 minutes, all day every day and you notice it. If you have an open plan house, and you are bothered by noise, don't get this fridge. If you are not so bothered about noise or it will live in a separate enclosed kitchen/room, then this is a great buy. Particularly if you want a lot of inside space but not a massive fridge, plus a fantastic ice and water dispenser.
