I purchased my XL Kenwood Chef to replace a kitchen aid which I had used and loved for 20yrs. It was a bold step to move over to Kenwood after having loved my kitchenaid for so long but the truth is, I had out grown it. I make sourdough bread 3 times a week and bake on a commercial scale and the kitchenaid's 300w motor simply can't take the abuse, in spite of its superior looks. If you get over that however, the Kenwood is a superb work horse-it takes the stiffest doughs in its stride and kneads it with style. I just completed a wedding cake yesterday which required me to beat 20egg whites at once for a meringue and it was just effortless in this machine. I see no faults at this point, besides missing my bright red handsome kitchenaid adorning my kitchen bench. but I honestly wouldn't go back.
