Regret to get this one…
I bought one on Boxing Day. Very excited to use it, but also very disappointed because the beater wouldn’t touch the bottom of the mixing bowl, so I have to scrape the bottom more often when I making a cake, which is so annoying. I thought this mixer would help me a lot, but I actually don’t want to use it anymore….
Powerful mixer
This replaced a 38 year old Kenwood which, although going well, had the motor replaced twice. I didn't think there'd be much difference but the old and the new are vastly different. The Kenwood XL has far more power and mixes better. It was definitely worth upgrading. We looked at mixers in a well-known electrical store and concluded it wasn't worth moving away from Kenwood.
Kenwood chef XL Mixer
Great one, light and stable when mixing dough with no rigorous shaking compared to my previous breville bakery chef hub mixer. Bowl is a large capacity steel bowl . I could easily mix 4 cups of flour in this. K beater is good for cookie dough and cake making. All the attachments are big in size proportionate to the large bowl. The bowl has a lid which is useful when mixing flour . Best part is the 5 year manufacturers warranty.
