I have used this model for years and after constant daily use I finally had to replace it. This kettle is light to use, extremely fast boil and always makes a piping hot cup if coffee. Very reliable and lasts for years. If you're looking to buy a Kettle, this is the one.

We have found the new Kambrook KKE760CLR to be a very good Kettle. It is a very nice size & shape, it boils in a short time and pouring from the Stainless Steel Spout is very clean. One small problem is that the Kettle handle gets very warm around the button that opens the lid after it has boiled.

There is a strong plastic or chemical taste and smell in the water boiled. Boiling with a vinegar solution or simply repeated usage, as suggested by some hasn't worked. The water ends up smelling like the plastic material the inner lid lining is made of and the water tastes similarly. Using the same source water in the old no-brand kettle or a stainless steel pot has no issues. The "bpa free" plastic seems to mean that the bpa additive is replaced with other chemicals that aren't banned yet that are easily leeching into the steam that condenses on the inner plastic lid which itself has a noticeable smell, and drips back into the jug water. The lid is also quite small so cleaning the inside of the jug is difficult. Build wise the kettle is perfectly fine, but due to the toxic smelling/tasting water, it's not usable as a kettle.
