Oven now installed!
I am beyond thrilled with my beautiful new electric oven and cooktop. Installation was a process because we had to switch to 3 phase electrical but the results are awesome. Best move in years. And good for the environment. Thank you Aras for recommending the right appliance for us.
Stylish and functional
The cooktop was tricky to unlock, and the national telephone help line person only advised me to fill in an online form.
However page 28 of the manual explains that you turn on the child lock by simultaneously turning controls 1 and 2 in a counter clockwise direction. And that happens to be also how you switch the lock off!
The cooktop is easy to use and quite responsive.
The oven is great - a good size with even heating. I’ve used an Ilve oven before and this one meets my expectations.
It looks gorgeous in my kitchen and apart from the hassle getting the child lock unlocked it’s easy to use.
Gorgeous to use
Pros: looks great, no problem adjusting the height and it fit perfectly as a replacement for our previous 90cm oven/cooktop. It's quieter than our last oven, and easy to use. The oven heats up quickly for a bigger oven, and it cooks evenly and browns beautifully.
Con: temperature setting is a knob with big numbers, so hard to set an exact temperature (e.g. 160 degrees C). I'll need to get an oven thermometer for when I want to be specific about temperatures.
