We purchased this model about a month ago to replace an earlier version of the same kettle. It had failed after two years with the plastic window cracking and leaking, and the boiling alert bell failing. So far this model is working well. It is quiet and efficient. The level window has not yet cracked and the bell still works although it is early days in terms if the life of this kettle and the thousands of litres of water yet to be boiled. The only issue so far is that after boiling the kettle and using the water. If you refill and try to boil immediately again, the switch is hard to operate and needs significant pressure to turn it on and commence boiling.

Had it a few months. Quiet, quick, smart looking, easy to clean, love the polite single little 'ding' when the water is boiled.

Replaced what we thought was a very good jug, however this one is quieter, has much clearer water level windows and a switch that does not get in the way when filling from a tap.
