Buyer beware: Hidden extra costs
Only after buying the cooktop did I learn that additional items would need to be purchased and the cooktop would need to be installed by a specialist.
Depending on how you want the cooktop to vent, you will pay an extra $1-2k.
Finding any information about what’s included with this item, and what extras will need to be purchased was very difficult. Multiple calls to Bosch and Appliances online.
I ran the vent through my kitchen island under the floor and out of the wall. I had to buy additional Bosch accessories for a few hundred dollars, and have a specialist install it for just over $1200 to maintain the Bosch warranty. If I would’ve used my kitchen fitter, the warranty would have been voided.
Very disappointed that I wasn’t made aware of these extras before I bought this cooktop.
