Great unit
I bought my Vitamix just over a month ago and I absolutely love it! It is so easy to use and just as easy to clean.
Top priced and reviewed blender
It works ok, but every time it goes on full speed there's a burning smell, even after seconds. They say it turns off automatically if overheated, but it's not terribly reassuring to get the smell first. I always turn it down. Fortunately I don't really want totally puréed food, prefer a chewer texture, but had expected it to produce that effect without fearing a meltdown. For the money.
