Excellent Screen
Out of the box, the screen looks very good. Clear, sharp, good colour reproduction. I've tested with Netflix HDR content as well. Only thing is that it takes a while to turn on - probably about 40-50 seconds. The TCL logo comes up, followed by another screen, and when you think it's done, Android starts to load. The remote feels good but in the dark, you can't see what's going on. Would be nice to be backlit - I've used the TV for over a month now and still don't know where the buttons are. Would be nice to have a shortcut to the TV instead of going through input menus. Sound is pretty good, no issues there. It passes through Dolby Digital and DTS signals through optical, which older TCL units couldn't do. Thin bezels, it is a sexy design. If you can get it for sub $900 it's a bargin, for a 4K 10bit HDR screen.
