Looks great but stops boiling
Bought this about 8 months ago with matching toaster, sadly it started turning off mid boil and now it doesn't work at all. Was a very decadent purchase for me, had a cheap one for 10 years should have kept it, won't buy another Sunbeam again.Should have read all these reviews as a lot are similar to my problem with the kettle.
Very noisy
I have been using this kettle for about 9 months and it is very noisy . It was noisy from new and everybody that visits remarks on how noisy the kettle is
Disappointed
We've had this kettle for more than 6 months now. Before first use I filled the kettle, boiled the water and discarded it. Every time I've used the kettle (at least twice every day) the drinks have a distinct, very unpleasant chemical flavour. I've tasted just the hot water and the chemical taste is there as well. I've boiled water in a pot and made drinks that way to compare and those drinks taste just fine. Also, we bought a matching toaster which we had to return because the push-down mechanism broke within 2 months. Really disappointed as these products are not cheap products.
