wont work
i bought this 2 weeks ago and now wont heat... not good
Easy to use and great coffee - missing part
I received this as a gift for Christmas and have loved it. Easy to use, timer function is great, coffee tastes good. The issue is that a tiny part has come off and disappeared (hoping I didn't drink it?!) and I can't seem to find a replacement for it so I am already unable to use it :(
One improvement in 30 years
Sunbeam coffee master PC 7800 has a replaceable filter for chlorinated/fluoridated water. I can’t find where to buy replacements but the idea is sound. Apart from that my sunbeam coffee master PC 014/PC-AU bought in Darwin 1993 is (still) much better. The PC7800’s filter compartment is flat bottomed so the grounds do not drain well. The fine filter, also flat bottomed, has no drain holes at the bottom so the grounds are very sloppy for the last 1cm. The shape of the filter is not conducive to the use of disposable/paper filters.
The old coffee master has slots in the lid to allow steam to escape so that after brewing cycle has finished the water reservoir is almost dry. The 7800 has no provision for steam to escape and the whole reservoir and lid is left dripping wet.
