This is the German engineered Hot Water Heat Pump from Stiebel Eltron. It features a 302-litre capacity with a design suitable for the diverse Australian and New Zealand conditions. You have the flexibility of installing this unit indoors or outdoors depending on your home and, with its encased compressor you will enjoy its quiet operation. If you’re living in a cooler part of the country you’ll still be able to enjoy this water heater thanks to its active defrost function which is able to produce a hot water supply for households that experience outside temperatures as low as -5°C. This heater can also supply up to 510-litres of 40°C water (showering temperature), which is enough hot water to satisfy a large household. The WWK has an incredibly low amp usage making it one of the most efficient water heaters on the market, helping you save water and energy.
Energy Efficient
The Stiebel Eltron heat pump hot water systems have one of the lowest amp usages on the market making them highly energy efficient. 75% less hot water energy is used compared with traditional hot water tanks.

Stiebel Eltron 302L Heat Pump Hot Water System WWK
We have enjoyed over 10 years of low cost, maintenance free and never ran out of hot water with our Stiebel Eltron 302L Heat Pump Hot Water System in our previous property.
Recently re located to a property which had instantaneous gas hot water and cooktop. After 2 months we decided to ditch the gas hot water, due to cost of gas and purchase another Siebel Eltron Heat Pump.
It was an easy change over for the plumber and improvements on our last model include: A user friendly LCD screen helps you operate the appliance and shows at a glance how much mixed water is currently available. It is also ready to connect to your solar system to use “free” energy.
It is quite when operating, has a superbly insulated cylinder giving hot water when required and maintenance free due to its impressed current anode.
Another step in our self sufficiency journey, making good use of our solar production and looking forward to another 10 years plus of ample hot water delivered by renewables and with extremely low maintenance.
the concept makes sense
The running noise is quite obvious - moeso if you put a small awning over the top (our neighbour did this) - so if you are putting it near someones bedroom, consider making it a daytime heating option (not off peak). Cost wise - you are still heating water to sit in a tank all day, but we have found the distance from tank to shower - the water is still hot (unlike previous instant hot water). We live coastal & 12mo later theres no sign of weathering, but we have it on the shaded side of the house (didn't want to replumb to house to move it to a sunny location to make use of the heat pump).
