Positives: it's quiet, easy to use and durable. Great to leave on overnight when sleeping. Negatives: it's an evaporation humidifier (not a vaporiser humidifier) so it takes a while to humidify the room. The process can take many hours. There are filters that need to be replaced every few months so this can increase the costs of using it. Overall it's a good basic unit but if you are willing to spend more you can get something that is much more effective.

We live in the Alpine area and use our wood heater constantly during winter which dry's out the air, and this product is perfect to regulate the humidity inside. We have a large open space with cathedral ceilings, so I was a little sceptical as to how well a humidifier would work. No problems at all with this product, it auto switches on and off to regulate well and is quiet and unobtrusive. Large tank, well made and easy to use.

Quite and useful. Can not live without this during melbourne winter time.
