It’s a beautiful machine but prone to issues. Get the extended home care warranty if you do choose to purchase this model. It may be right for you if you greatly value aesthetics and it’s very easy to use. But the regular faults and defects means overall I can only give it 3 stars at most.

Have had this machine for 10 months. Good time to write a review. Have had several different brands of coffee machines. This is the best coffee maker. I bought it more for the look as it was perfect for my small kitchen bench. From cappuccino to my favourite macchiatos it delivers and I am very pleased with the purchase.

I bought this coffee machine almost a year ago, it was making great coffee and steaming function was very good, until it started to get very slow making a espresso shot and sometimes steam would come out of everywhere except for the steam nuzzle, had to take it to Smeg approved repair centre which was the most disappointing part, every time they do a half decent job and coffee machine works for a while then problems again
