Really happy with my new machine it washes well and is big.

Always owned Simpson washing machines but this model is not up to expectations. Makes a lot of noises especially whistling when filling with water and during washes (whistling agitator or electronics) which is very annoying and we have to close the laundry door. Machine program doesn't go from filling to washing to rinse and to drain without procrastinating with all sorts of unnecessary sucking and draining pump noises. Error e17 (out of balance) happens daily. Leveled the machine perfectly with a spirit level, all feet are firm on the ground and it still comes up with e17 error (springs holding bowl are obviously too weak or too loose). I had to use packing foam pushing it between machine and laundry sink and machine and laundry bench-top to steady the spin cycle vibration, otherwise the machine would walk across the tile floor. Programming the machine every day to the same wash program, water level and hot/warm/cold water is annoying. "Auto" water level function does not work properly and found a full load only have half the amount of water required. Sharp metal at corners underneath when adjusting the feet and sliced my finger badly on 2 occasions. Yes, I read the reviews before buying but I assumed that only the bad reviews are listed but I was wrong, this model Simpson washing machine is really junk. I should have purchased a Fisher & Paykel which was a little more expensive but apparently are good machines - oh well, I have this Simpson now and will have to persist with it as I don't think Simpson will do much to help from reading the reviews. A full refund and replacement with another brand and model is the only option which I would accepted but I can't see that happening. Do not recommend anyone purchasing a Simpson washing machine!
