I needed some speakers to use with my old amplifier in a spare room, but I didn't want to $400+ so I jumped at the chance to buy a pair of these for $160 even though I hadn't heard them. As soon as they arrived I hooked them up and was so impressed I immediately ordered another pair ($152) for another amp. and room I have, for the size the sound is really excellent, they are not going to replace my Jamo towers or Bose acoustimas systems but I seriously doubt you could pick these out as the inferior speakers in a group blind test of top brand, same size, speakers costing up to 10 times as much.
