Very quiet and great for high ceilings over bench.
So happy with this island bench unit. Its external ducted fan to outside is quiet and has pleanty of power in reserve.
I replaced another brand that had poor flow, internal filters and was not ducted. We have a large open plan, high ceilings and the kitchen would fill with smoke.
This new Schweigan unit is so good with cooking you can see the fumes extracted even on low fan. We also run it when we get home on hot days and it removes the hot air to create circulation before we run the air conditioner.
Very happy and highly recommend.
pricey, good, bit rough around the edges
I like it. It works well, it is quiet. The build is good, but parts are a bit 'DIY' style. E.g the roof part is 150mm PVC rainwater downpipe, like u can buy from bunnings. . that one is also a bit short. You can def tell it is Aussie engineering ;-). The actual meshes feel bit cheap, the locking mechanism is a lot of plastic. ( would expect stainless steel here in this price range) . The control buttons are very simple, but they do thhe job fine.
They are not cheap, will see how it stands up over time.
I am happy with the purchase.
