Kitchen conversations are back!
After years of enduring a noisy rangehood in an open plan Kitchen/Living area we finally upgraded to a silent rangehood, and we couldn't be happier! It has brought enjoyment back to cooking together as we can easily have a conversation without competing against the hurricane levels of sound produced by the old appliance. The TV can be at sane volume levels and if the doorbell rings we are aware to go and answer the door.
Our Schweigen rangehood does everything that it promises - efficient, effective, stylish.... Silent.
Installation was very straightforward, slotting right into the existing space and the instructions were easy to follow with no modifications required to electrical wiring.
One of the best features is the 15 minute auto-off timer. The rangehood is so quiet we sometimes forget to turn it off, so using the auto-off function when getting close to the end of cooking ensures that it isn't left running for long.
Would highly recommend everyone to consider a Schweigen silent rangehood!

Installed this unit for it's quietness as it is in an open plan area. Yes it is quiet and its slim design looks good.
