Silent and powerful extraction
I've been a builder and kitchen designer fo 30 years. In all that time, I've learned that the range hood is the most important kitchen appliance. It should remove smoke and odour from the house and collect airborne oil so it doesn't make the house dirty, smelly and greasy. When cooking, the water vapour emanating from the food carries cooking oil with it. without a proper range hood, that oil is deposited on household furnishings. Many of my clients said they didn't use their extractors because they were too noisy. Schweigen have come up with the perfect answer: beautiful interior range hoods with the option of powerful, well-designed and well-built external motors that are nearly silent. We have an open plan so, a few minutes before cooking starts, we turn on the extractor to start a proper convection flow. We can cook fish, garlic or any other strong smelling food and we cannot smell it in the house. Our Schweigen range hood is, by far, the best range hood we've ever had. It exceeded our expectations and that's a rare accomplishment these days.
