Excellent TV, but take care with One Connect cable
Very easy to set up and get going. The remote is a little strange to get used to at first.
Word of warning to anyone buying a Samsung TV with a 'One Connect' box - do not try to feed the one connect cable through the wall. If you're mounting it on the wall, the cable is going to have to hang down from the TV. Unfortunate, but if you want the TV to work, then you can't feed the cable through the wall, as it will stop the TV from working properly. I lost use of the remote and all the inputs, and I was very careful feeding it through the wall and only had a short run.
I could use my Samsung phone to control the TV, but only if I wanted to use the internet and stream. If I wanted to watch a DVD or watch free to air TV, it wasn't going to happen. All because I'd put the cable up through the wall and had damaged it enough. It's a fiber optic cable.
Other than that, the TV is snappy and responsive. I can even use my old remote from my previous Samsung smart TV on this new TV without needing to do anything. Very nifty.
Picture clarity is great, sound is great. It's very easy to set up all your peripherals to work with the one remote. For example, when you change the input to DVD and the DVD player isn't on, the TV realises and says 'power on' on the screen, and then turns the DVD player on if you comfirm that's what you want to do.
The soundbar I've set up through the one remote feature turns on automatically when the TV is switched on, and turns off automatically when the TV is switched off.
Very happy, and would purchase again.
You can mount it on the wall using any standard wall mount bracket appropriate for the size of the TV - there are 4 holes in the back (not inside the square indent in the centre) that you screw your brackets to, and then just hang it. This area of the TV is flat and not curved, so you won't have any trouble with brackets, but it's likely you will need to use the spacers supplied with the brackets. (remember to place them only between the TV and the bracket) Simple. Don't let anyone tell you you need a $200 wall mount.
