Disappointed mum
I bought this freezer with refrigerator the as a pair for my brand kitchen in my new build. Very soon after, I found the foam patch that was glued on the front of the glass shelves as shock absorber (I presume), started peeling off, with the drawers being opened and closed repeatedly
Soon after, the hinges on the door handles cracked with repeated use. They are made of plastic so cannot withstand repeated use, which a fridge is intended for (repeated open and closing) a busy family.
DONT DONT DONT DONT BUY ONE
Failed on day 11 and lost all the food including expensive meat from my older freezer.
Manufacturer wanted to fix it. Retailer replaced it but does my head in as I don't trust it and check it every day and only keep a minimum amount in it - which isn't the object of an expensive freezer. NO food compensation received YET. Not good enough.
Randomly stops freezing
I don't recommend this freezer if you want to reliably keep things frozen.
Had this freezer for approx 2 years, and in that time it has given up freezing about 8 times. Lost quite a bit of food in the process when we didn't don't catch it in time.
The only way to fix it is to power it off at the wall and wait 5 mins. Sometimes it takes a few goes and as much as 30 mins! I suspect it is the defrost mode failing to go back to freeze mode?
I now have a temperature probe that sends a message to my phone if the freezer gets up to -7C.
