This purchase has added a talking point, a warm and relaxing glow and ambiance to our outdoor area. It is safe with the glass cylindrical shield, although it can also be used without. Having said that the shield increases the ambience as the fire light reflects on it and sweeps around it. These fireplaces are quite expensive for what you get on a physical level but if it lasts, it will be well worth it over time. I was a bit worried that I had purchased sight unseen during covid but so far I am very happy with it. It really is a wonderful addition to our entertaining area and we enjoy using it even when theres just two of us. It has a calming and relaxing effect. Of course the fairly and party lights we have all around compliment it. Go for it!
