Worst Iron Ever
I had a previous model Philips steam generator iron and it was fantastic. I was so upset when it died after many years of continuous use. So I bought this one. What a mistake. Its completely random if you get any steam, sometimes none, sometimes so much theres water everywhere. There is no way to set a temperature, it decides for you. How?? Its either too hot for fine fabrics (it may not burn but it will melt your fabric) or it simply doesnt get hot enough to get wrinkles out of cotton. The insanely angled end means you cannot sit it down on your ironing , which is very inconvenient when you simply want to reposition the item you are ironing. Utterly useless. Sometime sits best to just stick with a great product and not try to improve it. This iron was a terrible idea on every level. I have to assume the positive reviews are fake, no one could like this i
Amazing product!
I should have gotten this earlier! It saves up so much time ironing my pile of clothes! For my previous iron, I would only be able to iron for 1-2 minutes before the iron went into “water boiling” mode and I had to wait. It was frustrating because the bulk of the time was spent waiting and waiting.
But my new Philips iron is a total game changer! I no longer have to top up water and I simply have to wait for only 2 minutes at the beginning and the steam function will always be ready for me. Besides that, I do not need to adjust the temperature for different materials. How convenient!
Best of all, no more manually pressing the decalc button continuously whole shaking my iron; this magic iron auto decalc at the push of a button and even comes with a convenient container to collect the dirty water.
I’m in total awe of my new iron! Love it max!
Great service -poor product
I had my previous Philips Steam generator for 6-7 years and loved the features especially the fabric sensing. I had no hesitation in selecting another product. I have had ongoing faults with this model now for over 8 months. The service from Philips has been excellent - even repairing it and returning it within 2 days. However it is still causing problems and is now out of warranty.
