Good looking appliance, easy to use

After 5 yrs the element has failed. Contacted Phillips and was advised that this was longer than usual for an airfryer to last and could not be repaired. I must be old fashioned but I expected a bit longer than that and I dont like to throw applicances away, much prefer to repair! I'll be doing some research now before I buy Phillips again
