Omega Microwave
The AOL site had incorrect dimensions and it didn’t fit. Thereafter I had to chase them for a suitable replacement and credit. Very poor service and after sales experience.
Suprisingly good Convection Microwave, very happy
This was not my preferred product which was temporarily out of stock, but after careful analysis of the pros and cons of the available convection microwaves at Appliances Online and elsewhere, this one looked to be edging the rest. The main concern I had was the size but it was comparable in width and there is about 17cm of space between its top and the cupboards above it in my tiny kitchen - do note that this is less than the recommended clearance in the manual but I have not found it to get more than vaguely lukewarm on its top even when on in convection mode for a continuous hour and a half. What is not mentioned anywhere is the fact that it comes with a grilling/oven rack therefore you are able to make the most of the space inside and bake/roast simulateously a tray on the base of the oven and a tray sitting above it on the grilling rack. You will need small trays to fit, but this grilling/oven rack is so handy and means you can maximise the oven setting. As others have stated, these convection microwaves will take longer than standard ovens to cook. Once you have adjusted to this and experimented a bit, it is no problem. The only drawback is that it makes the same noise as a microwave for the entirety of time it is in convection mode as the turntable is still required to go around for even cooking. The microwave function works as it should. I have not yet tried the grilling option by itself. I have now owned this appliance for over two months and use it regularly. In sum, as a single renter with no working oven, I have found the Omega to be a great option. The delivery team unboxed it and installed it and took away the packaging and old microwave, all of which I was grateful for as I have only one working arm.
SO far so good
This microwave is working well. Very very easy to use, heats and cooks easy. Love the bigred display that can be read from any angle. Perfect replacement for my 25 year old convection microwave.
