Cooks perfectly
The reason I don't give this cooker 5 stars is because this is my second one of these. The bowl of the first one started to crack and eventually leak after about 3 yes use.
The temperature is perfect, does not over or under cook. It has Low, Med & High settings. Many slow cookers have Warm, Low & High which would be a better heat setting.
Love the large bowl size, hard to get a good large slow cooker. Also excellent price.
Good Slow Cooker - but do you need it?
I think these devices are much over hyped. Yes it's great that you can just throw a bunch of stuff in and leave it to cook, and this one is great because of it's large size. What the people who hype slow cooking don't tell you is that root vegetables just don't cook at low heat so those tasty casseroles with lots of vegetables end up having hard lumps of potato and carrot. I'm sure I'll find some use for this but it's not the cooking panacea people suggest. At least I didn't by a Thermomix!
Not Sure as Yet
Seems to cook way too fast on LOW. Actually burnt the spag bol first time in use. Was only on LOW for 5 hours.
