not really reliable model
It keeps stopping with various errors intermittently whereas no objections on the floor. the vacuum cleaner is fairly new.
Underwhelmed
I've been pretty dissapointed with this product considering the price. It's completely unable to get over a very thin rug (doesn't even have tassles) and clean it, so I have to vacccum it with a normal vacuum, or remove it. It also never finds it's way back to it's home base, ever. Also, despite repeated tries, the mobile connectivity doesn't work. I paid a little extra after having a couple of cheaper robot vacuums so was expecting something a little more with this one.
Good vacuum semi-useless app
The vacuum works well as a vacuum using the buttons on top and the remote. It vacuums well, is careful with furniture, and build quality is high.
The app feature, which is most handy to see / check where the vacuum has been, is terrible. It took many days to set up. The instructions are not in the manual. Online searches didn’t help. I called Miele support and after a few calls over a couple of days they emailed me a video which didn’t match the app I was using but was close enough to get the thing going. The app’s instructions are really not helpful. You need to switch between your wifi and the bot wifi settings when you ‘connect’ to the bot. It doesn’t tell you anywhere to do this.
Even once connected the app will constantly drop out and not let you see the map or control the robot. It’s useless to use outside the house.
The robot sometimes doesn’t finish and errors out, or doesn’t return home properly. When it works it is a dream. Floors haven’t been cleaner. Noise levels are great. Easy to empty the dust compartment.
So, I would recommend this bot - for those who don’t care about the app working. Bc it won’t. Read other reviews online - I knew this when I bought it. The bonus is, it will still work maybe if they stop the app support on newer OS / phones.
