Cool and quiet
Going from a portable unit to this window unit has been fantastic. The Midea is so much quieter and the cooling ability is better than what I thought. We have a split system at the front of the house but the cooling didn't reach the back of the house. This unit does the job. I hired a handy man to install it because I wanted it fitted securely in the window and I am not good with things like that, but if you're handy with these things you'll be fine. There's no installation kit though, so if it's going in a window you'll need to source materials to close in the cavity above the unit. All in all we're very happy with it.
