I decided to buy this on a very hot, dry day. Filled it with water, switched it on, set it to the highest settings, and had it running continuously, until the weather cooled some days later, and we had some rain. The humidity readout is a handy, so you can see if it is dry enough to need the unit on. The blue light in the tank is useful for seeing how much water is left, but can be switched off. The readout display unfortunately can't, which is distracting at night. The unit is heavy and I found it best to lift out the water tank (the water is the heaviest part), before trying to move it. About the only annoyance is the unit switches back to the default settings, with the lowest vapor stream and humidity level, each time it is turned off.
