Quiet washing machine

Fiddly if you want to tailor the wash...
I wanted to be able to wash in cold and have a 'favourite' setting so I didn't have to press lots of buttons every wash. The Haier has 9 programs plus standalone 'spin' and an option to download a program (I would never bother). It's handy that you can tailor each of the programs and save each one as a 'favourite', so you actually get multiple 'favourite' options. Unfortunately the instruction manual doesn't explain in any detail what each program is for, so it's a big guess as to what the machine will do. In addition, the manual doesn't offer any help as to how many wash and rinse iterations it goes through in the cycle. Some of the programs don't even give you an indication about the time required to complete the cycle and the display says 'Auto' until you press start. I use 'Synthetic' and select cold water and the 'Eco' option which reduces the wash time down to (usually) 38 minutes. The machine seems to wash well and clothes come out fairly dry except the 'Delicate' cycle where the spin speed maxes out at 600 rpm which is too slow for me to find that program useful. It's fiddly to get the wash you want but once you work it out and save your favourites it becomes easy enough to use.
