Small compact cools the air efficiently, a little noisy but acceptable level, value for money.

I previously had a cheaper Kogan Portable Aircon which served its purpose for a couple of years til it broke. I recently upgraded to the Goldair. It's cooling function is immensely better, the oscillator helps a lot with this. I live in a small unit, so the size makes up for it. Keeps the whole place cool. Portables are always noisier so that's expected. This puts out about 65 dba according to techs, I'd say probably at fan speed 3. I just turn the tv up more if it's on. You get the usual hum from the compressor working, but theres also a bit of a clatter from the fans moving parts which are drowned out from the hum. The window bracket isn't the best. The hose didn't lock in as well I had hoped. I also have a tall window so there was a gap between the extension. I just used adhesive foam to close up the gap to seal it. Controller works great, also use the wifi function to turn it on as I leave work. It tells you the current temperature in the app. I haven't had much of a chance to test the heater function yet, but can confirm warm air when set to it. All in all, satisfied with my purchase and Appliances online delivered it quick.
