This was a very disappointing purchase - we were delivered a Demo model or one that had been returned with faults as it was all discoloured and there were coffee grinds through the machine … then Appliances Online said they could t deliver one until June - maybe earlier - they would be in touch - but we have heard nothing and they still have our money. The quality control coming out of the warehouse is very poor!

We opened the box for the first time …started the initial set up but failed complete because it demanded the bean hopper be closed before any further progress . The bean hopper had been filled with beans, water container filled, and the hopper lid closed but the machine thinks it knows better . A phone call to the Distributor could not resolve , nor could any U tube videos, so we have been told to return it to the Distributor for review and service. Our preference is to have the machine replaced rather than risk further delay and potential breakdowns. To add to the annoyance the machine comes with a factory advice note saying every machine is tested with coffee prior to shipment …..go figure !

Certainly makes a good cuppa! I had a jura for nearly 12 years (great coffee, low on hot milk). The accademia certainly is a few notches better in terms of hot milk. The overall build for the black plastic (sides and back portion) is pretty standard. What I felt let down was with the front portion. The milk frother is in plastic - I expected it to be in metal/steel (like in Jura). For this price, expected a bit more quality of finish for the hardware.
