The build quality of this product is absolutely cheap and nasty. The inside is flimsy and everything feels loose. We bought this range hood thinking it was easy to set up to recirculate. Well no it isn’t you still need a duct and to cut out holes in the cabinets, and filters and ducting. All the filters and ductwork has to be brought separately as it doesn’t come with the rang hood. Buy any other range hood, I would definitely not recommend this product .

Bought this when renovating a kitchen, replacing an old and useless one that was designed to recirculate but had no carbon filter. This new one is flued directly through the ceiling, and works a treat on its medium and high settings, OK on low. I don't have much experience of other rangehoods, and didn't do sound tests in stores - would recommend doing so, as this one is louder than I anticipated (even on its lowest setting, especially so on its medium setting which is often needed) despite its good test scores in Choice. I don't know whether other units are in fact any quieter, just saying that it's loud enough to discourage using it when not necessary.
