Electrolux Clothes Dryer
I bought this nearly 2 years ago, purely because it had a 5* rating on Appliances Online however, had always purchased a Fisher Paykel previously. From the very beginning, it was noisier, the thermostat could not recognise damp clothes placed into the dryer so it would overheat by the time it stopped, clothes became crispy and some got ruined! Less than 2 years old, it stopped working! I now need to pay for someone to fix it. Never again shall I touch ANY Electrolux appliance anymore, back to my trusted brand, Fisher Paykel.....
Died after 7 months
The dryer has being working great until the other day. it just stopped working, it makes a noise when you turn it on but thats about it. It's only 7 months old what a piece of junk. Someone is coming out to fix it as it's still under warranty but now i feel like its a dummy. Time will tell i guess.
Also i will say, the little push button on the dryer door is so budget and i noticed that when i first bought it, you can tell that too will break easily over time and i'm always careful when pushing it in or opening the door.
Basically if anyone is thinking about buying this dryer, i wouldn't.
Well Priced, reliable & does a good job
Purchased this dryer about a year ago to replace our 25 year old Fisher and Paykel dryer that died.
This is not an expensive dryer, but it has proven to be reliable, relatively quite and good value for money.
It has more than enough drying progams settings to cater for the majority what my family and most people would require. It doesn't have a dedicated wool or doona setting, and whilst is not a not a deal breaker for me, as I wouldn't trust wool in a dryer, it may be for you. Having said that, it does have a delicates, airing / freshening cycle and I have read others use this dryer to dry their doona's on the auto setting without issue.
My only minor gripes are that some of the available drying time settings are a bit limiting, but you could always set to full auto, and that the door feels a tiny bit flimsy, but I am a bit being picky and neither of these would stop me from buying again.
In Summary, if you are looking for a reliable, very well priced dryer that does the job, then I would have no hesitation recommending this model!!
