Have been running a week now and delighted with the result, floors (hardwood and low pile carpet) have never been so clean. Assembly and setup was easy, connecting to our Wi-Fi via the Xiaomi phone app took only minutes, but you must have 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi enabled on your router. Needs internet access. Initial mapping of our 100m2 house took about 10 minutes and was very accurate. It auto divided the map into rooms with just a little tweaking via joins and splits to finish it off. Contrary to online reviews you can now assign custom names to rooms. The first clean picked up so much fluff and hair the robot bin overflowed, but the auto empty on the dock emptied it all. For subsequent runs the robots bin has enough capacity to do the entire house in one go and the docking bin looks to easily last well over a month before needing a change. We’ve never had a problem with the auto empty clogging. Auto Empty Dock - Not needing to manually empty the robot is a game changer, the robot cleans the house every day without needing attention. We have two longhaired humans and a cat, who all shed a lot 😊 Noise – Standard mode is fairly quiet and powerful enough to pickup hair, fluff and grit, including all the scattered kitty litter in my office, so nice to get up in the morning and not feel it underfoot. Long hairs - The brush does tend to get long hairs wrapped around, but not as badly as our previous Roborock S5 and its easy to clean – the ends come off and hair stripped off with the included tool. I will do this every two weeks. Navigation – flawless. In a week, it has never got lost and always finds the dock. It did once get stuck with a scarf wrapped round a wheel. I disentangled it and the bot finished its clean. Object Detection – works well, doesn’t bump the chair legs etc and avoids the minefield of socks and shoes in my wife’s office. Scheduling – Basic, but functional. I have ours set to do the whole house (excluding the bedroom) at 5am, its quiet enough on standard mode that nobody wakes. The base station is very loud when it empties the bot, but with “Do Not Disturb” hours set it doesn’t run. The bedrooms are auto cleaned at 12pm and the base station empties the bot then. Improvements – the scheduling could be improved, would like to be able to set cleaning modes in the schedule itself and being able to schedule zone cleans would be good. Bonus – the dock and robot look pretty slick and unobtrusive, unlike a lot of models.

Love this product. Picks up most dirt and dog hair. Gets around the whole house and self empty function is good. Does eat white charging cords on cream carpet so pick those up.
