Dumb Smarts
Don't buy. Returning our second unit after initial replacement. The thermostat that tries to be smart and predict how to heat the room is actually dumb and will overheat it in advance of a colder period, and the 7 day timer is the worst design I've ever seen. Combined with the iffy touchpad, programming this thing is a nightmare. Oh, and it doesn't even look new. Both units had scuff marks straight out of the packaging.
Overall satisfaction
The upshot of the story is - the product works well NOW. Prior to winter, I bought this heater for my daughter's flat and installed it myself. After delivery to me, transporting it over there and mounting it on the wall, it didn't work. She works full time and didn't have a lot of spare time to adjust it to trial ways to get it working. We didn't know what the problem was. Meanwhile winter kicked in and the flat was freeeeezing. She was pondering getting a heater to heat the place while waiting for the ... er heater! Appliances online suggested a maintenance check but to do so I'd have to get over to the flat, remove the appliance from the wall, take it to a depot etc ... grrr.... and it couldn't be booked for another week! Appliances Online finally suspected it was a dud, did she want another one?! She wondered - could she trust the brand?! With no funds to buy another... she was desperate and gave it a shot. Thankfully the second appliance worked. Finally she had heat. yippee!
The gold standard in radiator heaters
When I was looking for a heater I had 2 main requirements: 1) was that it was silent, and 2) It had an advanced timer. This heater does both of those extremely well and a host of other things. Completely fanless, solid build quality, great features, and very safe. I use it in my bedroom to warm those frosty mornings and for when I work from home. It keeps the room within 0.2 degrees of the temp that I set it and has a battery backup which keeps your timer settings if the power goes off or you move the heater. You can buy much cheaper radiators but this one covers all bases, is energy efficient, and comes with a 7 year warranty.
