A significant upgrade
Coming from a small, simple on/off grill this thing is a huge upgrade.
Pros:
- CLEAN: Easy clean, the grill plates are so easy to remove and completely waterproof and even dishwasher safe, this was the biggest pain about the small grills.
- TEMPERATURE CONTROL: Good range of temperature settings, anywhere from ripping hot to slight toasting.
- ROOF CONTROL: The top has great control, can be set at certain heights and doesn't push the top half of the sandwich forward. The top also NEVER GETS HOT! It's amazing, you can actually press the top part down without burning yourself.
I find myself never using the timer, maybe if you cook the same things over and over again it's useful for you but my sandwiches are different every time.
I also never use different temperatures for the top/bottom plates, it can be unfolded out flat and used as a proper grill but I don't need that.
Overall a huge upgrade to my old model, I use it almost daily. It's hard not to justify the price with just how dang useful this thing is.

Only one con, power cord is too short!
Can’t live without it
As a single mum, this machine saves me week after week because I can throw some cuts of meat and veg like mushrooms or tomatoes in, shut the lid, put on the timer, turn once and then serve with some fresh greens and dinner is ready. My kids can safely cook sausages or toasties and wraps while I work from home and they’re getting good quality food in their preferred timeframe and level of difficulty without reaching for bags of stuff from the freezer. If it died today I’d be back online buying another in ten minutes flat.
